Getting Started and Getting Published – A Writers’ Panel

Have you dreamed of publishing a piece of writing but can’t quite figure out how to get past the blank page? If the answer is yes, the North Shore Writers Association’s session on Getting Started and Getting Published at this year’s festival is for you. Local published authors will share their own writing and publishing experiences, and help you to get that project started, finished and out to the public.

Panelists include arts reporter and poet Fran Bourassa; Lynn Crymble, who published her first novel, It Can Happen to You, in 2009; poet Bernice Lever, who has published several volumes of poetry; Sylvia Taylor, an award-winning freelance writer and editor; and Gerhard Winkler, whose essays and short stories have been published in several chapbooks and anthologies.

The panel runs from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in the Welsh Hall West at the North Shore Writers Festival on April 21st.
