New at the North Shore Writers Festival this year is the Writers and Readers Reception. On the festival day, right after Daniel Kalla speaks and right before we hear from Anita Rau Badami, the Writers and Readers Reception will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. There will be wine, cheese and the opportunity to mingle with festival presenters and fellow festival-goers in a lively atmosphere. Before the hour is over there will be a prize draw where one lucky person will take home a brand-new Kobo e-reader, generously donated by Chapters.
Plus, if you’re feeling peckish throughout the day as you take in the multitude of festival events, there will be delectable treats available for you to purchase. Ayoub’s Dried Fruits and Nuts will be at the festival, selling an assortment of dried fruits and roasted nuts. Cravings Kettle Corn will also be on site, selling delicious freshly popped kettle corn and assorted treats. Buy something for yourself to eat at the festival or to take home as gifts or souvenirs!
